Introducing Digital Parenthood Home Base: A free program that
equips parents with the tools they need to raise safe and confident connected kids.
To start, each participating school will need to designate an Online Safety Officer. The Online Safety Officer (OSO) will receive expert training so they can implement online safety best practices in their community. Interested?
To participate, each school must have an Online Safety Officer (OSO) — a PTA member, teacher, or other school representative.
The OSO will join three specially-designed virtual “train the trainer” sessions. The first one kicks off in the fall.
Your OSO will also receive tools and materials to support the trainings they host for parents.
Since 2020, global social media use has surged by 20%, with kids aged 8-18 spending an average of 7.5 hours daily on screens (CDC). Aura, a leader in online safety, and Givebacks have teamed up to to equip families everywhere with the resources they need to help their children develop healthy online behaviors and stay safe online.
Designed by leaders in online safety, this free three-part “train the trainer” program will provide school communities with practical ways to support parents around key areas of online safety. School leaders can choose an Online Safety Officer to represent their school, and their OSO will be thoughtfully trained to equip parents and caregivers with the tools they need to raise safe and confident connected kids.
An Online Safety Officer (OSO) is a designated school leader responsible for delivering the Home Base curriculum to parents at their school.
Throughout the school year, you'll join three engaging, virtual trainings with an expert.
"Train the trainer" materials will help you confidently deliver the Home Base curriculum and take-home kits for parents will ensure they have all the resources they need.
